St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg is the second-largest city of Russia and is also known as Leningrad but St.

Petersburg is its birth name. This city was founded in 1703 by Tsar Peter the Great, and in 1924

the city’s name was changed to Leningrad. During its foundation, it was also known as the

imperial capital of Russia. 

St. Petersburg in Russia is located on the Neva River that flows into the Gulf of Finland and the

Baltic Sea, and so the city is a famous cruising destination in the northern part and one of the

famous tourist attractions of Russia. The city is also known as the cultural capital of Russia and

displays the finest art collection at the Hermitage, magnificent art of the churches, and enjoy
