The most popular festival of Jodhpur is the Jodhpur Marwar Festival. It helds every year in memory of the heroes of Rajasthan. Marwar Festival of Jodhpur, Rajasthan was originally known as Mand Festival. This festival is held in the month of Ashwin. Ashwin is a Hindu month period falls between September and October. Originally known as Maand Festival, the vibrant festival takes place during the full moon of Sharad Poornima in the Hindu month of Ashwin i.e. September and October of the Gregorian calendar. The Performances which are performed during this festival are Bhavai Chari, Dandi Gair (folk dance performed with a stick), Kalbelia (performed by snake charmer community), Ghoomar (a dance form with repeated circular patterns). The festival also hosts one of the largest fair of the state of Rajasthan. Some of the best handicrafts, souveniors, artefacts are also displayed.The main attraction of this festival is folk music focusing on the romantic lifestyle of the rulers of Rajasthan. The dance & music of the Marwar region is the main theme attraction of this festival. Folk dancers and singers gather on the festival and provide live entertainment. These folk artists tell others about the days of battles, the battles and the heroes who still live through their songs.On this festival, among other attractions, is the Camel Tattoo Show and Polo. The location of this festival includes the famous  Mandore and Mehrangarh Fort or Umaid Bhawan Palace.
