Amar Sagar is a trifling and beautiful lake, which is an oasis and adjacent to a 17th-century palace, called the Amar Singh Palace. Maharawal Akhai Singh built this palace in honour of his predecessor Amar Singh. Next to the palace are pavilions with a large staircase leading to the Amar Sagar Lake. This mansion is constructed in the pattern of apartments. Amar Sagar is a five-storey high mansion and is famous for its murals. Wherever you go in this mansion, you will see beautiful murals painted with delicate efforts. You can find many wells and ponds around which have a royal air. There is an old Shiva temple in the complex itself. Amar Singh built it because he was an ardent follower of Lord Shiva, a Hindu god related to destruction. You will also see pictures of animals carved in stone around the lake. These figureheads are believed to be the protectors of the royal family.Visitors can walk right around the lake and even go for a paddle-boat ride.
